Sold in sets of 7 (kalimbas with 17 keys or fewer) or 10 (suitable for 21-key kalimbas or just to have a little extra), these stainless steel beads add a satisfying buzz to your playing.

Beads and other objects or materials (such as recycled aluminum) are often added to lamellophones to create a buzzing sound, which creates an interesting auditory quality; traditionally this sound has an important spiritual significance in parts of Africa.

These beads should fit most kalimbas. To be sure, you want to take two measurements:

• the width of an individual tine – must less than 5mm
• the width of an individual tine plus the space on either side – must be less than 8.5mm
